Crops: Green Beans, peppers, pumpkins, cabbage, kale, collards, sweet corn, and christmas trees.
Planting, cultivation, and harvest activities. Workers will bend and stoop to transplant, if applicable, and cultivate and to pick vegetables according to size, color, shape and degree of maturity and place into field containers. Workers will cut mature collards, cabbage heads and bunches of collard, kale and mustard greens using knife as specified by employer. Products will then be placed into sacks or boxes and placed on a trailer for transport. Workers may grade produce by removing bad or damaged leaves and repack for shipment. Workers will stand and walk to pick corn. May be required to pull and discard culls as directed by supervisor. Pickers will take care not to bruise or scar produce. Workers may carry full container weighing approximately forty (40-60) lbs. and empty into bin or load onto trailer.
Christmas Trees: Workers will harvest white pine tips using a 6-inch blade/knife to cut the tips. Workers will bundle and tie white pine trimmings with rubber bands and place in a box. Boxes, weighing 40-60 lbs., will be loaded onto a field trailer. Workers may be required to climb trees to harvest white pine tips. Workers will harvest white pine trees using chainsaw to cut bottom of tree prior to baling and loading onto trailer to be hauled. Workers will harvest Fraser firs by using a hand saw to cut trees prior to tying together with twine and loading onto trailer to be hauled.
General: Provide general labor to assist in the establishment, operation and maintenance of properties by clearing property, planting trees, building trellises, setting up, operating and maintaining irrigation systems and any other labor considered necessary for efficient and safe operation.
